Science Parcours Lübeck I
Interactive Outdoor Exhibits
In 2012 the German City of Lübeck was honored to become the "City of Science" for the duration of one year. To create awareness in the public as well as engaging their citizens it was decided to create a science parcours with ten interactive outdoor exhibits in the historic city center. The challenge was not only the extremely short timespan but also to respect the UNESCO’s World Cultures Heritage Architecture and integrate specific content of the four local universities.
All exhibits have abrick base and an exhibit top made of stainless steel. Through the year 2012 every exhibits gets an according partner exhibit which will be set up independently in the ten city districts tsurrounding the historic center which is located on an island.
